If you’ve fallen in love with making your own fresh pasta, add this versatile six-piece tool set to your kitchen arsenal to instantly add a dozen new shapes to your repertoire. Shaping and forming classic pasta shapes by hand can be frustrating, which is why Italian nonnas have used purpose-made tools like these for centuries. They take all the guesswork out of forming and rolling traditional pasta shapes like rigatoni, garganelli, gnocchi, trofie, and so many more. Every piece in this set is handmade for Giadzy out of solid maple and finished with a natural, food-safe blend of beeswax and carnuba for a perfectly smooth finish.

Included in this set are a double-sided pasta board with ridges and columns for creating rigate pastas that cling to sauces, custom Giadzy-branded bench scraper, and four mattarelli (thin rolling pins) for crafting tubed shapes in diameters ranging from ¼–1 inch. The largest mattarello can also be used to roll out dough for pies and cookies!

To use your new tool set, cut your fresh pasta dough into thin squares, then roll it over a mattarelli across the pasta board for gorgeous garganelli or rigatoni. Roll small knobs of dough by hand over the side of the board with sharper ridges to make gnocchi, or over the columned side for trofie, capunti, and malloreddus. Fresh pasta tastes so good, it can be served simply with a classic pomodoro sauce or even just butter and parmigiano reggiano, and it'll still feel like a world-class gourmet experience.

Make Giada’s fresh pasta dough recipe using Italian type 00 and semolina flour, then follow the specific directions for the type of pasta you’re making. Shaped fresh pasta should be left to air dry for several hours before boiling, and will take just a few minutes to cook.
Care Instructions
Hand Wash Only: Always hand wash your mold with warm water and mild dish soap. Avoid soaking it in water.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use bleach, strong detergents, or abrasive scrubbers that can damage the wood.

Dry Immediately: After washing, wipe the mold with a clean towel to remove excess water. Allow it to air dry completely before storing it away.

Store in a Dry Place: Keep your mold in a dry, cool location away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can cause the wood to dry out or crack.

Avoid High Humidity and Temperatures: High humidity can cause the wood to swell, so avoid storing the mold in damp environments like near the sink or in a humid kitchen cabinet. Keep your mold away from extreme temperatures, such as those found near ovens or stoves.
