Whether it's brunch, lunch or dinner, here's proof that a fried egg can up the ante on any dish.
The beauty of eggs is that they are extremely versatile. Eggs can be boiled, poached, baked, grilled, and scrambled and my personal favorite, fried. Surprisingly, though, we actually eat far fewer eggs today than in years past (circa 1945, Americans consumed a whopping 8 eggs each week). That said, we still average about 248 eggs per person per year—that’s a lot of eggs—and recent findings that suggest saturated fat and cholesterol aren’t as bad for our health as we may have thought are all the more reason to #PutAnEggOnIt.
