With a honeyed sweetness and a flavor like caramelized berries, these fig preserves from Agrimontana are a must-have for cheese plates and more. Made only from these highly prized white figs grown in Cilento, on the southern edge of the Amalfi Coast, these preserves capture more of the fruit’s delicate, unmistakable flavor than any other we’ve ever tried.
This “extra jam” is so named because it is packed with as much fruit as can fit into the jar, without additional fillers or too much sugar. The result is a thick, luscious jam that spreads easily and packs every bite with undiluted fig flavor. With its deep golden color and intoxicating sweetness, it’s like having a little taste of the Italian summer whenever you need it.
Piedmont shares a border with France and Switzerland in the northwest of Italy. It’s a region renowned for its agricultural bounty, home to decadent specialties, including white truffles, Barolo, and arborio rice. Azienda Agrimontana’s history in Piedmont began 50 years ago when Cesare Bardini began selling jams, candied fruit, and chestnuts in 1972. Bardini had one mission: to share the natural riches of his home across Italy.
To this day, Agrimontana is dedicated to creating deliciously clean products using traditional methods, without added colors, preservatives, or flavorings. They focus on sustainable agriculture that preserves the beauty of their home while encouraging biodiversity.

This mildly fragrant spread can be savored anywhere you might enjoy a high-quality jam, such as crostini, biscuits, gelato, yogurt, or whole-grain toast. Use it to make the most delicious jam crostata, like a grown-up Fig Newton with none of the mystery ingredients. And, of course, no cheese board is complete without this fig spread; its sweetness is the perfect counterpoint to any cheese, from ultra-aged pecorino to mild fresh mozzarella.
