Just opening a bottle of this fragrant orange olive oil from Gargiulo will immediately transport you to the sun-drenched citrus groves of the Amalfi coast. While the region may be best known for its famous lemons, the oranges are equally special, with a beautiful golden yellow color and sweet, juicy flavor. Like the lemons, the peels of Sorrento oranges are especially fragrant, rich in the oils that give them their distinctive aroma. And while we can’t pack up oranges from the Italian coast and sell them, this incredible oil is the next best thing. This orange-scented finishing oil is perfect for drizzling over anything that needs a touch of Italian sunshine.

The Gargiulo family has been making olive oil in the steep hills of Sorrento since 1849, when they bought a small stone mill and manual press for the family farm. In the 1970s, they began selling their oils to share the unique flavors of their southern Italian home with the world. Today, the third-generation company is dedicated to preserving family tradition while innovating new ways to make the best extra-virgin olive oils in the region. Olives are harvested by hand and monitored in every step of the process. Driven by passion and dedication for the land they call home, they are proud to represent the rich flavors of Sorrento with their traditional and flavored oils.

This rich olive oil has the intense aroma of juicy oranges. To preserve its flavor, it should only be used as a finishing oil, never heated. Use it to make a mouthwatering salad dressing, or drizzle over cooked fish or vegetables. It’s lovely for dipping bread or focaccia, and can be used in marinades and sauces. It can also be drizzled over vanilla gelato or a simple sponge cake for a distinctive dessert.
