Come along with Katie Parla on a Cicchetti crawl in Venice!
In Italy, aperitivo hour is typically an evening affair - but on a weekend in Venice, aperitivo hour is any hour. Watch Katie Parla - author, culinary guide, food and beverage journalist and beyond - take a mini tour through the aperitivo offerings of Venice.
In Venice, there’s a special word for bar snacks: cicchetti. This term encompasses all of the snacks you can find at a bacaro (wine bar) ranging from fritto misto to crostini and everything in between. Think the Venetian version of tapas - perfect for snacking, sharing, and enjoying with a spritz.
Katie took us along to some of her favorite destinations - crostini topped with a dazzling array of ingredients from All’Arco, polenta-topped goodies from Sepa, and crustless sandwiches called tramezzini from Enoteca Al Voto.
