As a lover of chocolate, Giada fancies herself a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur - and when she heard about Dan's brown butter version, she had to give them a try!
Something you may not have known about Giada - she loves chocolate chip cookies, and is always on the hunt for a good new recipe to try. Don't get us wrong, we personally think her Vegas cookies are pretty much perfection, but there are so many different ways a cookie can be delicious! Chewy, crunchy, soft, cakey - there's a whole world of amazing chocolate chip cookies out there.
In comes Dan Langan, a master of all things sweet, who Giada met on the set of Winner Cake All (catch the premiere of it on January 7th!). When she heard about his brown butter chocolate cookies, she had to give them a try. Verdict? Amazing.
This cookie isn't your average snack cookie that you can easily eat 4 of! Brown butter, molasses and pools of chocolate from a chopped bar (as opposed to chips) create a seriously decadent, rich cookie that is a standalone dessert all by itself. It's brimming with nutty, toffee-like flavor that reminds Giada of the famous cookies at Levain bakery in NYC.
