Mini Assorted Chocolate Eggs

Our signature Giadzy cube got all dressed up for Easter with this adorable assortment of sweet chocolate eggs. Decorated with a distinctive pattern of pastel doves, this year’s collection of Giadzy Easter sweets features the dove as a symbol of peace and love for Italians. Made especially for us by second-generation master chocolatier Guido Gobino in Turin, these mini eggs are the height of Italian chocolate artistry, ready to share or savor as you celebrate this spring. This box contains three different mini eggs: rich and sophisticated 70% dark chocolate, creamy caramelized white chocolate with hazelnut praline, and traditional chocolate-hazelnut gianduja.

The northern Piedmont region is known as the chocolate capital of Italy for its incredible density of master chocolate artisans, many of whom have been making fine candies there for hundreds of years. Turin, the region’s capital, is home to an annual chocolate festival that brings together more than 100 makers for a celebration of all things chocolate. It was here that chocolate was first introduced to Italians back in the 16th century, when Duke Emanuele Filiberto brought some of the newly arrived treat home from a visit to Spain, who had just brought cacao over from the Americas. It quickly became a fashionable treat, and master candy makers soon began perfecting their own recipes for chocolate confections.

Aside from the chocolate, which is carefully selected from Central and South America, every ingredient in these chocolates is purely Italian. The plump, sweet hazelnuts are sourced directly from local Piedmont farmers, the milk comes from Piedmontese dairy farmers, and even the sugar is from Italian beets. Raw cacao beans are roasted and processed in a state-of-the-art Italian facility. Every step of the chocolate-making process is managed by hand to ensure the highest quality in every bite.
