I kept it traditional (and seriously easy!) on this menu for Giada Entertains, with lamb as the classic Italian Easter centerpiece of the meal. I use a simple sauce to give it some sweet smokiness, which pairs with the savory gaminess of the lamb perfectly!
Baked Rigatoni makes an appearance topped with kale gremolata, because it just wouldn't be a sufficient Italian feast of any sort without pasta! We're also celebrating in-season asparagus, and making it especially inviting with pesto, prosciutto and Parmesan (3 things that make everything better!). I also made a super easy spring-inspired salad with a bright and vinegary dressing to cut the richness of the meal.
The delicious food aside, the decor also made this party truly special. I printed out tons of family photos and used them as a table runner, which turned out to be a non-stop conversation starter and was a huge hit with everyone. The decor doubled as dessert, too, with giant chocolate eggs filled with candy!
Overall, this is a very non-fussy menu with limited ingredients (nobody likes going to the supermarket for a holiday meal and testing the shopping cart's capacity!) and a fun, simple and personal decor. What are your plans for your Easter table and menu? Tell us in the comments!
