These whole, unpeeled pomodorini (“tiny tomatoes”) in tomato juice are bite-sized, bell-shaped cherry tomatoes grown in the heart of Campania. Loyal fans will remember how much Giada loved the “blue can” pomodorini—that’s why we sourced our own! The corbarino tomato is a unique variety even more prized by connoisseurs than its neighbor, the San Marzano. With the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, these tomatoes are Giada’s ultimate pick for sauces that sing with pure tomato flavor.

Choosing top-quality tomatoes like these is the ultimate embodiment of the Italian philosophy of cooking: selecting only the best ingredients—no matter how humble—and preparing them simply. With just these tomatoes, some artisan Giadzy Pasta, and some olive oil and parmigiano reggiano, you can have a dinner party-worthy meal ready at a moment’s notice.

Sustainably dry farmed in the volcanic soil of Corbara, near Mount Vesuvius, these tomatoes are grown in the old-fashioned way: supported by wooden stakes on terraced hillsides, watered only by the rain. As they bask in the heat of the southern sun, the sugars in the fruit become super concentrated. The result is intensely flavorful tomatoes which are processed as soon as they’re harvested at low temperatures to preserve their freshness and nutritional properties.

Exceptionally Flavorful Sauce

The first tasting as I was making sauce was surprisingly good, and I've made a lot of red sauce. Could be one of the best sauces I've made and worked well with simple pasta. For a non-traveling home cook this did indeed taste like what I imagine is a visit to Italy, so I'll be keeping some on hand for special sauces.
Only complaint is just a me thing, I really dislike tomato skin!
But these jewels are worth it.

Is it possible to make these canned tomatoes in the larger size?

Exceptional, Sweet, Delicious

I used them for a red sauce I made yesterday, they are delicious. Very firm, adorable little peeled tomatoes that are very sweet. They are crisp enough to use in their whole form or to chop for salads or salsa’s, an other foods, but I would say the tomatoes are exceptional. I have never seen tomatoes like these in the U. S. and my red sauce came out better than ever.

The most amazing taste, you barely need seasoning!

I make Pomodoro all the time with San Marzano tomatoes, but I used these tomatoes and they were amazing. . I followed Giada's recipe and it was so good, we were eating from the pan without Pasta. LOL

I made Baked Bolognese with Whole Corbara Pomodoeini Tomatoes. OMG! My baked bolognese tastes so much better. There is a sweetness to it. I love them. I highly recommend it and am putting my next order now.
