Stock your pantry the Giada de Laurentiis way! Every product in this section is one she just can’t live without, the foods she keeps on hand at all times to be ready to whip up something delicious for dinner. From pasta with a personal connection to versatile flavor boosters, these are the products you’ll always find in Giada’s pantry.
Of course, there has to be pasta in Giada’s kitchen—no self-respecting Italian would go without! Her absolute favorites come from Setaro, a family-owned company that has been making it the same way since 1939. The semolina flour they use is minimally processed, creating a more flavorful pasta than those found in the U.S., and the pasta is air-dried in the cool, salt-tinged breezes that blow in from the coast. Their factory sits on a winding street in Torre Annunziata in Naples, known as the pasta capital of Italy. It’s the same street, in fact, where Giada's grandfather once made his own pasta!
Every Italian meal starts with good olive oil, and an Italian pantry usually has a few varieties on hand for different needs. Whether you like it smooth, spicy, or fruity, you’ll find some of the best olive oils here. A good aged balsamic vinegar is another must, produced the traditional way in Modena, its spiritual home. It’s aged in oak barrels, which over time, transforms the vinegar into a complex liquid that’s packed with probiotics and beneficial enzymes. To this day, many Italians swear by a spoonful of balsamic every day as a health tonic.
Add in a few more basics like the best-canned tomatoes, Calabrian chile paste for a spicy zing, and juicy olives for an aperitivo hour, and you’ll be ready for anything. Shop this hand-picked selection of Giada’s favorites, all locally produced in Italy and delivered right to your door.
