No need to dream about booking a ticket to Italy for an amazing scoop – you can get Giada’s favorite Italian gelato in LA!
In Bobby and Giada in Italy, Chef Maria gave us a tour through her gelato test kitchen just outside of Rome – and both Bobby and Giada got to try their hand at making some gelato, too! “Maria is changing the gelato game every day with her unique and innovative recipes,” says Bobby – and he’s right! At Fatamorgana, the focus is on high-quality classic ingredients, and having the creative freedom to see those ingredients in new ways.
One of the flavors Bobby and Giada help Chef Maria make contains fresh ricotta cheese, Pecorino, figs and rosemary – all classic Italian flavors, but perhaps not ones you’d expect to find in a scoop of gelato! The end result is a rich, sweet-and-salty gelato that encapsulates the spirit of Fatamorgana. It’s that type of innovation that put Fatamorgana on the map in Rome!
Fortunately for us, Fatamorgana has gone international – meaning we don’t have to dream about traveling to Italy to try a scoop or three of incredible gelato. They have two shops in Los Angeles that are serving up tons of unique flavors that change by the season.
