Some recipes just stay with you forever. Giada first tasted a version of this pasta while visiting the tiny island of Ponza with her Aunt Raffy, when a local friend prepared this simple dish, and Giada was hooked. She’s been making her own version ever since.

Pasta Ponza is all about balance. Sweet, vibrant tomatoes and briny capers give the dish bright coastal flavor. Roasted with breadcrumbs and olive oil, they get a perfectly crisp topping in the oven while the tomatoes burst into a juicy sauce. Toss it all together with pasta and Pecorino, and that’s all you need for a perfect pasta that evokes the Italian coast.
