We’re taking things slow with this updated version of Giada’s famous Turkey Meatballs!
In an ideal world, we’re rolling out handmade pasta on a nightly basis, with freshly rolled meatballs, a glass of vino in one hand, the scent of garden-picked herbs and Parmiggiano wafting through the kitchen…
…And though that reality may be feasible on a weekend, it’s hard to live that Italiano fantasy during the busy work week. This is why we turn to the slow cooker — to do the work for us!
We’ve adapted Giada’s classic Turkey Meatballs to the slow cooker, and made them a bit more weeknight-friendly with limited ingredients and prep (no browning or searing required!).
Just make a very simple marinara in your slow cooker, roll the meatballs, and set them right in as they are. Allowing the meatballs to simmer in sauce for hours on end not only creates a super flavorful sauce, but melt-in-your-mouth meatballs!
Even better? You can fully prepare this the night before and stick it in the fridge– then, just get it going in the slow cooker the next morning. Trust us — the aroma you’ll come home to will take you right back to that Italiano fantasy.
