With sandal and swimsuit weather over, it can be easy to let your skincare routine slide. But just because your skin is covered up with boots and sweaters doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve a little love! Now’s the time when I like to whip up this powerful sugar scrub, with cool yogurt and pumpkin puree.
In addition to being a seasonal flavor favorite, pumpkin is a surprisingly effective skincare ingredient! The same vitamins that make it a powerhouse in the kitchen are also great when applied directly to the skin; vitamin C fades dark spots and sun damage, and vitamin A improves collagen production. And its natural enzymes work as a gentle chemical exfoliant, encouraging cell turnover to reveal softer skin even after you stop scrubbing.
Mix this up once a week, and your skin will thank you through the winter months – and you’ll be ready for swimsuit season next year!
