This blend is refreshing and light, because of the air that’s incorporated by blending the ingredients (versus juicing), while the slight thickness from the pulp makes it feel satisfyingly substantial.
Giada's Clean, Green Juice
- 1½- inch piece ginger chopped
- 1 Granny Smith apple cored and chopped
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 3 tablespoons parsley leaves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- To the pitcher of a blender add the ginger, apple, spinach, parsley, lemon juice, water, ice, and salt. Puree on high for 2 minutes, scraping down the sides of the blender as needed. The drink can be enjoyed as is, like a smoothie, or strained through a fine-mesh strainer, if desired, as a juice.
