The lemon juice really brightens up the flavor but makes the smoothie a bit more acidic, so if you are nursing a queasy tummy, you might want to skip it.
Recovery Green Smoothie
1 large orange, peeled
1 cup baby spinach
1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
¾ cup coconut water
½ cup ice
Pinch of kosher salt
Lemon juice to taste, optional
In a blender combine the avocado, banana, orange, spinach, ginger, coconut water, ice, salt, and, if using, lemon juice, to taste.
Puree on high for 1 minute or until smooth.
